Hurricane Irma 2017 … Update from Sarasota FL

GREETINGS FROM SARASOTA FL… a little update since Hurricane Irma came through our area. Very happy to report that overall we were well prepared and blessed. Although there has been property damage to our homes and condos, it has been minimal. Of course we did have power outages but most areas are up and running now and there was very little flooding.

Kudos to our disaster planning services, state and local officials and media keeping us well-informed and to the residents hunkering down and/or evacuating as needed. In addition, we had an incredible amount of help from our northern states (Including my home State of OH)! The linemen trucks made an impressive convoy, while the linemen worked tirelessly upon arrival.

If you are a full time or seasonal resident of Sarasota/Bradenton FL; or, if you are planning a visit to the SunCoast you can keep up to date with  weather conditions (which are normally sunny and bright)  by downloading ABC7 First Alert Weather App., the “weather team” is outstanding!
